This is something of a rarity - produced from the original Pinot Noir - Pinot Fin. Very few growers continue to cultivate this strain of Pinot Noir - it's low-yielding and tempermental - but this one is a beauty. Could be a "baby Gevrey-Chambertin".It's rich and classy, showing great clarity of fruit and terroir - a lively mouthful of bright black cherries, laced with floral notes, minerals and a touch of spice. Raspberries and blue fruits emerged with 20 minutes in the glass - all delivered with penetrating depth, persistence and length. This is a serious and delicious Bourgogne Rouge.
